Mass executions in the Srebrenica massacre : ウィキペディア英語版 | Mass executions in the Srebrenica massacre
The Srebrenica Massacre was the July 1995 killing of an estimated 8,100 Bosniak men, woman and children in the region of Srebrenica in Bosnia and Herzegovina by units of the Army of Republika Srpska (VRS) under the command of General Ratko Mladić during the Bosnian War. The following describes the Army of Republika Srpska (VRS) taking prisoners and conducting a number of mass executions between 13 and 22 July. Following the detentions of prisoners on 13 July, the Army of Republika Srpska (VRS) conducted a number of mass executions between 13 and 22 July. The vast amount of planning and high-level coordination invested in killing thousands of men in a few days is apparent from the scale and the methodical nature in which the executions were carried out. These events generally involved the pattern of isolating men and boys for transport to warehouses, where they were subsequently transported to fields for execution. As of 2005, more than 6,000 bodies have been exhumed from the Srebrenica region. The number of people missing or killed as compiled by the Federal Commission of Missing Persons includes 8,373 names so far. Below is a listing of some of the events. ==The morning of 13 July 1995: Jadar River==
A small-scale execution took place prior to midday at the Jadar River on 13 July 1995. Seventeen men were transported by bus a short distance to a spot on the banks of the Jadar River. The men were then lined up and shot. One man, after being hit in the hip by a bullet, jumped into the river and managed to escape.
